Washington, DC – CalypsoAI announced today the hiring of Dr. Erica Briscoe and Mr. Andrew Spage to leadership roles within the company. Dr. Briscoe, a leading scientist in artificial intelligence who previously served as the CTO of the Georgia Tech Research Institute, has been named Senior Vice President of Strategy and Delivery. Mr. Spage, a senior technology leader within the U.S. intelligence community, and will assume the role of Director of Solutions Architecture. Both hires will be critical to CalypsoAI’s focus on providing its AI / ML security platform, Vespr, to customers within mission critical enterprises that demand secure and trustworthy AI capabilities.
These hirings follow the startup’s announcement of a $13 million Series A fundraising round in July. The two year old company has established itself as a market leader in developing software to facilitate the validation, monitoring, and security of enterprise AI platforms.

Dr. Briscoe will be responsible for the delivery of CalypsoAI’s technology to enterprise customers and overseeing the company’s research and development work with government organizations in the national security space. “I am thrilled to join the CalypsoAI team and be part of delivering trusted AI technology to mission critical enterprises within the national security ecosystem and the private sector,” said Dr. Briscoe. “I cannot wait to get to work with the CalypsoAI team in securing an automated future.”
